Give Smarter
To Get Maximum
Tax Efficiency

If you’re an American earning in Switzerland, Swiss American Giving can help maximize the efficiency of your giving in the U.S., Switzerland, and beyond.

A Smart Solution
for American Dual Taxpayers

Swiss American Giving is one of the first dual-qualified charities in Switzerland. Catering to U.S. citizens also taxed in Switzerland,
Swiss American Giving GmbH provides tax relief in both countries.

How Does It Work?

1. Donate to Swiss American Giving

Make a donation to Swiss American Giving, a dual-qualified charity in both the U.S. and Switzerland. Before Swiss American Giving can accept donations, donors will need to open a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) with our partner, TrustBridge Global, the first DAF built to be truly global. Donors also have an option to open a DAF with one of TrustBridge’s Network Members based in Switzerland, Fondation Générosité

ABOUT TRUSTBRIDGE GLOBAL

TrustBridge Global Network is a network of foundations with collaborative relationships and member offices around the worldSince 2017, TrustBridge has facilitated over $400 million in cross-border grants across over 100 countries, serving more than 50,000 donors and 70,000 charities.

Once the contribution is received, donors can recommend which donor-advised fund or charity will ultimately receive the donated funds.  This includes donor-advised funds or qualified charitable organizations in almost any part of the world.

2. Receive Dual Tax Receipts

After your donation is processed, you’ll receive appropriate documentation to claim deductions on your Swiss and U.S. tax returns.

3. Claim Your Tax Deductions

Use the Swiss receipt to reduce your taxable income based on cantonal regulations and the U.S. receipt to deduct the donation from your adjusted gross income on your federal tax return.
